We leave for Egypt next week. I'm a little bit freaked out, but I'm hoping that things don't get too bad for the two weeks we are there. After that, nothing international planned.
Also holding off on international and even localized US travel. Stowing funds (which right now is not FUN) is the responsible thing to do, when really I just feel like everything’s on fire.
Scary times in so many ways and places. We hope to do the trip we were due to do in summer 2020 to Finland and Sweden this summer, travelling by train and ferry from UK (I avoid flying for climate reasons), but even though we’ve booked accommodation now a bit of me wonders if something will happen to prevent it.
Our thoughts are very much with you and we were horrified by your election result. And his cronies are already trying to destabilise politics here in the UK
The Basque country, more Portugal, Paris...Safe travels. If you're in Porto, you know how to find me. I'm so sad for the US and although nowhere is perfect, Portugal is a warm and kind place.
We are all watching and waiting to see what happens in the US. We are due to make a return trip to see family but I can honestly say I’m not in a rush to return right now.
I have no plans to travel outside the US, but I did write a small list of quick trips that could be done on long weekends: New River Valley Gorge National Park in West Virginia, Highland County, VA, and Hobart, NY which is a designated "book town."

For a hot second we talked about squeezing in a trip before the 20th but ultimately decided not to spend the money.

Same here. We did a deep look at our finances and decided to spend less on travel this year.
I am holdong by breath and praying hard

I really hope your trip happens. 🤞🤞

If we're near you, I will definitely get in touch.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your travels this year.

I feel that.

NRVG is on my list too.
