Generally speaking, I don’t buy souvenirs when I travel. But occasionally I do find something that’s absolutely perfect and then yes I will bring it home with me. During the first year of the pandemic, our passports gathered dust and my knitting and sewing projects ramped up as I sought to calm my anxieties while we learned more about this new disease and waited for vaccines to become available. I wouldn’t say that knitting is better than therapy or prozac, but it’s beneficial in a variety of ways.
