Yes, the wonder and joy of exploration! Love how Pete comes up with the pithy reflection.

We did denver/devil's tower/glacier/yellowstone/teton/denver. We ccalled it the trip of WOW. How many times can you say wow? Going to the Sun Road I don't think we said a single other than Wow.

I worked just outside of GNP on summer with my husband and then was able to take my adult daughter there last September. It was an awe-some trip and so fun to show her around and we both oohed and aahed at the scenery. It was also so fun to see her reaction to seeing Half Dome (in Yosemite) for the first time and she jumped up and down. She was 16 then and had saved an earlier copy of Time Magazine featuring Half Dome on the cover in hopes of seeing it in person.

That sounds wonderful. Yosemite is on my list of national parks I'd like to visit.

Yes and, I also find joy in reminding some locals in wondrous areas how marvelous things are there [despite the ubiquitous strip malls]. Perspective is as much a gift as the views - I love your husband’s remark. 💙

There are two UNESCO World Heritage sites here in my town and, occasionally I have to remind myself that they are magnificent.
