I am likely the internet friend with the exact opposite packing requirements. I leave today for a business trip to Italy and am deciding between four or five pairs of shoes.
Looking forward to seeing your trip to Rennes - such a lovely place!
Non-negotiable? Just 4. Knitting. Engrossing reading. Decent headphones for listening to podcasts in bed. My current notebook for lists, forward planning, ideas. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll extend myself to sketching.
I often have to stop from bringing two knitting projects. I always have delusions of grandeur that I will complete the project on the plane ride there and then whatever will I do.
Exactly this! This time I ditched no.2 and good thing as I’ve nowhere near finished no.1 at end of the holiday. Plus there’s a great yarn shop here if I did run out….
I’m now curious about this eyebrow dye! I get excited to book a trip so I can think about packing. My most recent trips were ski trips. So no exciting packing lists bc it was all ski layers. But I have a trip to national parks coming up and I need to figure that equation out. I’m not a t shirt and shorts type of girl. So I need to figure out my parks outfit that works for the task and I feel comfortable in.
Must have: lots of very good socks! I'm with you on that -- my feet need to be happy. I always over-pack, but I'm working on it. I'm going to the US late this summer, and I'm already thinking about what I WILL NOT TAKE so that I can buy some new clothes (jeans!) while I'm there. I always pack too many toiletries and use hardly any of them. I must be more disciplined!
Toiletries are so tricky and my least favorite thing to pack because of the time spent decanting them into small containers and then labeling them so that I don't mix up, say, face lotion and toothpaste.
I do take decaffeinated tea with me on trips, as it is easy to get plenty of caffeinated tea and plenty of caffeinated coffee but before bed each night, I always enjoy some sleepy time extra

I always look forward to your travelogues!
Ah, but you are traveling for work and have wardrobe requirements. My situation is much more casual. Safe travels today!

Believe it or not, I can't decide if I'm bringing a small knitting project with me.
👀😂!!!!!

One of my favorite memories of Porto, Portugal is of going to a yarn shop there. The owner was so lovely and helpful.

What about Wool& Sierra + Summit shorts or cropped leggings?

If I don’t bring a journal to write in I always kick myself. Alas if I do, I forgot I brought it.
That's a bit of a conundrum.
